Austin TX: GOOD NEWS! RE: Urgent! Owner died. 8+-yr-old Shepherd/Rottweiler girls Paisley and Tansey require a place together that is a quiet, calm atmosphere

Tansey and Paisley are happily relaxing in their foster home :-)

Both girls are safe in a foster home with an interested adopter in the wings. Thanks to all who networked them! If you would like to donate and/or share their GoFundMe, please do.

Hi Liz,
Hope you're doing well. I have good news to share, the girls went to a foster home this weekend and we have someone interested in adopting them in two months. The foster family agreed on taking care of them during this time. They are doing a lot better now that they're around people and been loved again. Can't thank you enough for all the help, your support and encouragement gave us hope to continue fighting for these girls. We're now raising funds for their vet care and grooming, this is their GoFundMe page in case you would like to share it with your friends:
Thank you, thank you, thank you... these girls are saved and loved again thanks to all of you!
All the best,
Pamela Villegas

Hi Liz,
Thanks for reaching out. The girls are still in the same situation as two weeks ago. The family is giving them two more weeks before they lock down the house and make the final decision about them. If I can't find a home for them they most likely put them sleep. Please feel free to share their information and my contact info.
Thanks a lot for all the help!

Keely Joseph rescued animals.  That makes her part of our family, whether we knew her or not.

Now, Keely is gone and her two senior dogs have nothing left by a stuffed toy and a wheelchair.  Paisley and Tansey were feral puppies when Keely saved them eight years ago, and she has loved them for all this time.  Now, these girls only have a few days to sort themselves out, as Keely's family apparently has no options for the dogs and plans to euthanize them.

If these were my dogs, or if they were your dogs, all you would hope is that someone in the rescue community would create a magic solution for them.  These girls just need a quiet place where they can live and come to terms with their new circumstances.  They won't bother anyone, and they are no trouble.  They are reserved girls, and I'm sure they're grieving.  They just want love, and I'm sure they would pay you back with years of pleasure.  Paisley and Tansey are vetted and good with dogs and with cats.

Keely's friend Pamela reached out to Friends For Life, which is full but trying to make a plan.  Because this is urgent, I am sending this on widely, in case there is some rescue angel out there who can help Paisley and Tansey.  Please pass this on.  It could be you one day.  Or me.

Pamela will transport the dogs, and you will see her email below with details.  Her contact number is 512 567 0315.

Subject: Two Awesome Dogs Need a Home

Hello Rescue Friends,
I'm looking for a home for two sweet dogs that just lost their human mom. My friend Keely Joseph passed away one month ago and left behind her two dogs, Paisley and Tansey. Keely was an active volunteer for several dog and cat rescue groups in town and despite serious medical conditions, she worked tirelessly to save the lives of many cats and dogs until the very end. Keely's dogs came to her as feral puppies, they are now 8 years old and need to find a new home soon since Keely's family members are considering putting them to sleep in the next few days.
Paisley and Tansey will require a place together that is a quiet and calm atmosphere. They are Shepherd/Rottie mixes. Paisley was very attached to Keely and has not left Keely's wheelchair since her passing. Tansey spends most of her time outside on the back deck but does like to have the ability to come inside. She is the more feral of the two and will not really allow being pet but she will not bite and is in no way aggressive - none of them are aggressive at all. Both girls are spayed, up to date of shots, and house-trained. They are good with other dogs and cats, but they have been alone for some time so a slow introduction would be recommended.
If you know of anyone that could possibly give these girls a loving place to live (foster home) out the rest of their days, I would be forever indebted to you. I am open to any and all suggestions and I'm willing to transport them anywhere they can be safely loved. Please feel free to contact me at 512 567 0315
Looking forward to hearing from you.
