Doris Godwin picked up the two on the 13th and they are getting used to her good foster care in their own room for the moment in Georgia.
12/12 Cathy email@example.com has a rescue/adoption plan/team coming together for these two! Thanks to all who crossposted!

Subject: Douglasville, GA - ex-wife taking senior cats to pound Tues!
To: "C. Pq" <email@example.com>
Please help me! My wife and I are having marital problems. The reasons for the problems are not significant, because it is not about my wife and me that I write you, but it's about 2 kitties who are now clearly in the middle of this.
When we married in 2012. I brought in two cats, Mr. Kitty and Gracie. As you can tell by the name, one male and one female. Everybody adapted to the new situation well and there were no problems in cat world.
Since the start of the marital problems, I was forced to leave and am staying at a place where no pets are allowed. Next week I am relocating and again, no pets allowed. I wish it were different, but money is very tight and I have no other choice. So wish I did!
Yesterday, when I was able to get back to the house to pick up some things I was given an ultimatum: get your cats by Tuesday 2 pm. or they will go to the pound. I was shocked, of course, I thought she loved all our kitties and these 2 old babies don't deserve this. So here is the sad dilemma; I can't take them myself and I don't know the timeframe when I will be able to, and because of this Mr. Kitty and Gracie's dark future will be the pound, were they surely will not survive.
Mr. Kitty and Gracie are 16 years old and they have lived with me and my late wife for 8 years, 2 years with me by myself and now for 5 years with me and my current wife. They are both rescues.
I really hope you can help save the lives of my 2 dear kitties and from the trauma of being dumped at a pound. They have always been inside kitties and lived a protected life of "luxury", and apparently only until recently, always were loved and being perfectly taken care of. I don't think it is right to put these sweet animals through this, they deserve better. I realize they are special care kitties, because of their age, still they need a chance!
There are 2 pictures attached one of Mr. Kitty and one of Gracie and hopefully someone will open is/her heart seeing how pretty and sweet they are. It would be wonderful if they could stay together after all these years and not have them go through the shock of separation too.
This is the worst email I ever had to write and never in my imagination could I foresee this fate for my beloved cats. It's breaking my heart, but I have to do this, it's my responsibility and the least I can do for them.
