San Fernando Valley CA: Tinkerbell the Declawed Senior Maine Coon Mix Needs New Home

Tinkerbell is 11 years old. Owner gives permission to blog. He says Tinkerbell is "about 7 1/2lbs. She's medium-sized, and her weight has always been between 7 and 8 lbs."

Hello Liz,

Tinkerbell has been with us for about 8 years. We actually adopted her through Cat Connection when she was about 3 years old.

She is spayed, and she was already declawed on her front paws when we adopted her.

She is basically up-to-date on vaccinations. After her last couple of checkups, our vet said that since she's older and a 100% inside cat that has no other contact with other cats, he didn't really feel that it was necessary to give her any additional vaccinations.

I can get copies of her vet records, if needed.

Thank you for your help.

Subject: HELP! Black Maine Coon DECLAW Needs a New Home - Cat is in San Fernando Valley Area

We are trying to help William (contact info below) place Tinkerbell, his Black Maine Coon mix DECLAW. He has a small child and the Cat, Tinkerbell is very unhappy in the home. He's tried to work things out, but he honestly feels Tinkerbell would be happier in a home with no small children. He loves this cat and wants what is best for her and is keeping her until we find a good home. I am only networking to fellow Rescuers in case you have a potential adopter looking for a DECLAW and your group doesn't have one. If this is the case, please contact William directly or give his contact name to the potential adopter. OK to cross-post!

Thank you,

Cindy Paul

Tinkerbell is a magnificent eleven year old Black Maine Coon Mix DECLAW with a big ruff around her neck and a fluffy plume tail. She has soulful green eyes and a mellow personality. Tinkerbell is definitely a lap cat and she's very vocal with a lot of stories to tell. Her hobbies are catnip, playing with toy mice and balls and she loves to play with her people if they have a wand toy. She often plays like a kitten, pouncing on her toys and rolling on them. Tinkerbell can be very entertaining! Newman's Own Food is her definite fave, and she loves to sleep with her people at night. She needs a new home as she is not comfortable with the small child in the house. No small children (children over 12 OK). She would prefer to be the only Cat.
