As of two hours ago, BARC says this pup has nobody saving him.

7/18 Puppy still has no rescuer or foster per BARC Aid. 7/18 BARC Aid replied by email 10 minutes ago that pup is eating now. The shelter has no other photos or videos of him. They are only to give basic medical care. The medical notes are in the sidebar of the Kennel Card updated as of today.

Dr Whittenberg just called me about this dog.  He needs to get out ASAP.
this young dog was brought in as an injured stray.  Possibly hit by car.  Right rear leg is injured from the hock down.  The lower leg is swollen with possible bone showing from wound on hock
injured right rear from possible hit by car with possible fracture of lower tibia/fibula.  Dog is not wanting to eat at this time
  • ALL hold requests are to be sent via email only (none will be accepted via phone) with the following required information:
EMAIL SUBJECT:       HOLD for (insert animal id number)
In the body of the email, provide the following:

Name of Rescue Group/Foster: __________________________________________

Name of designated person for pickup: ______________________________

Contact Phone Number for person placing hold: ________________________

  • The hold will be placed for 24 hours and a confirmation email will be sent back to the requestor via email.
  • All incoming BARC Aid emails will be answered during the following hours and within the specified timeframe:
Monday  - Friday
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Within one hour
Saturday - Sunday
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Within two hours
Emails received outside of these timeframes will be answered the next day, during these hours.  If a response has not been received within the specified timeframes, please notify Mauricio Zepeda immediately via email or cell phone 832.623.3871 (days off Friday and Saturday).
