#Houston #TX: Great follow-up/NEW PHOTO to GOOD NEWS! RE: 01-13-18 URGENT plea for young #dog #A1530566 Mako

P.S. A volunteer sent a new photo and wrote Sun, Jan 14, 2018 at 12:38 PM:
Mako is doing fine. He's eating, frisky, and feeling fine. No symptoms of pneumonia. Dr. Washington checked him out and gave her blessing. He is leaving the shelter (for good) today with an RPM foster. He will be going to Colorado. For those of you who never had the pleasure to meet him not only is he handsome, he is flawless. A perfect dog.

This poor guy was returned to us today.  He was being fostered with the intent of the foster to adopt him once he was over his URI.  Mako was not getting better so the adopter took him to his own vet who proceeded to tell him the dog has puenomonia.  The foster came back here and talked in length to our vet who showed him how to medicate the dog and tried to convince him to keep the dog since he had already spent $500.00 on him.  The foster said no, so Mako is now back with us.  He is not going to get better here so the vet asked me to send out an emergency plea to try to get him out, otherwise he will end up on the euth list.

We have Baytril from the full service vet visit as well as the meds we normally give.

Thanks,

Brenda
