#Houston TX: 3/31 update HOPEFUL NEWS RE: #Mastiff mix Luke is still urgent update RE: Urgent update RE: Meet Luke 137 lbs. of handsomeness

3/31 update. Luke is being fostered by a BARC foster family who may adopt him if all goes well. We may know for sure around 4/8. That was a close call because he was on the euth list today, but we are still not quite out of the woods.

3/30 POST
Given up because he is too big for the wife to handle, 3-yr-old Luke still needs rescue (or foster or adoption) from the municipal shelter.  Houston Volunteer Robinson who is Dudleyfiles on Instagram commented on my IG post Luke that  "He is fantastic. And dog selective." Please see the following email update from this morning (which includes instructions for saving him). Brenda is with the BARC Business Development & Outreach Team. Luke's record in Petharbor includes staff comments and is viewable HERE as long as he is alive and available.

He is getting over his URI.  After yesterday with his behavior towards me when I leashed him one of the ACT’s took him out.  He is not growling at dogs when outside, he does growl at them inside the kennel when he is walking by.

Thanks,
Brenda

Big Luke is coughing with thick nasal discharge and has lost 10lbs while at BARC.  He is still in good body condition and available for rescue.

This affectionate guy was just turned in by the owner because he is too big for his wife to handle.  It did take two ACT's to do the work up because of his size, after the work-up was complete then he was seeking affection.  He is one big, beautiful guy that already knows how to sit and stay.

Thanks,
Brenda
