#LosAngeles: 6/1 Update. Fully-vetted Poppy the Gold #Cat Needs New Home preferably on the West Side

Sad-eyed Poppy
6/1 Poppy needs a loving home. Christine of Animals in Need Rescue Network has organized his vet visit (donations welcome!), a foster home in Chatsworth CA (the Los Angeles area), and new photos to hopefully be taken soon. He is very heartbroken about not being with his original owner, and certainly the outdoor experience and being trapped was upsetting.
You may fill out the adoption application HERE.
For those who wish to donate towards Poppy's expenses, please see Christine's message below, or there is a donate button HERE.

Hi Liz he is in the LA area currently being fostered in Chatsworth.
I would like to get a foster to adopt on the west side ideally.
Yes I need donations he had a big vet bill because we took him to an emergency vet.  He is heartbroken over being dumped a real love bug.  I really dont want to put him at a pet smart hes been through so much.  Im  determined to find him an adopter or foster to adopt.  He was such a good boy at the vet even after being trapped which was really traumatic for him  My paypal is animalsinneedrescuenetwork@gmail.com  Ive asked temp foster for new pics.
Thanks for your help!!!

Samara wrote the original alert plus the following message to Volunteer Kathryn. Samara provided the photos and video, gave permission to blog, is taking kitty to the vet today, and agrees to foster him until a rescue (or adopter) is found. It is an 80-year-old neighbor of Samara's who is relinquishing the cat.

He is a male approximately 7 years old. He was surrendered by the owner and has been living underneath a neighbors house. I’m not sure how long.

I try to feed him and play with him daily but i noticed some dry blood and scars on his neck so i wasn’t sure if he got attacked or anything. We love on a street with lots of cars and coyotes so I’m just really worried something bad will happen. (It happened to another stray a few years back)

From what i know he does NOT have any shots and cries every time i leave him. He doesn’t want to be alone. I can’t imagine how afraid he is.

Message: Hi there,

There is a homeless cat that was surrendered by its owner and I'd really love to get this sweet boy a loving home and a check up. He doesn't seem to be doing well. Any help would be so appreciated. He is sleeping under a house (I think) and is really scared to be on the street. Feel free to call me at
