I've written the person who took him there about clearing her cat allergy via NAET, as I've done myself.  (It really works and you should pass the word about it...  See naet.com.  Plenty of practitioners in SoCA!)

The claims of No Kill in the city pounds are not reliable (and even at that, they say they are not saving 90% of cats).  The WLA shelter is one of the better ones, but there is more competition among black cats at pounds. People 1) don't know that black cats are the healthiest ones (the more color, statistically the better the health), 2) have cultural biases (``bad luck,'' whereas they are good luck elsewhere), or 3) think no one wants a black cat since there are so many in the pounds (when actually there are more black cats born---it being good for the species to have healthier cats born).

This cat was found by someone in my neighborhood and taken to the West LA shelter impound number and pic below.  He is super friendly and either someone lost him or he's a leave behind.  I would like to help him.  I pray he belongs to someone and they will go get him.  I live in Century Glen which is right next to Century City.  Can you send this around

Hi Christine,
I posted about the black cat! I’m so sorry I did not know about the shelter being the worst place. We tried to take him to the vet to have him scanned and he is microchipped but the information was old. We kept him overnight but I’m allergic to cats so we had to give him up.
When we dropped him off I took a picture of his information. I’ve attached both that and the picture I have of him. Hope this helps!
