Graham at the hospital

PLEASE CROSSPOST! I AM THE CONTACT: MONICA AT ENLIGHTENED34@AOL.COM

6/14/18- GRAHAM WAS MOVED FROM HIS EMERGENCY VET TO OUR VET LAST NIGHT.  IT WAS A LONG NIGHT AND DAY WITH LOTS OF INVESTIGATING, EXAMINING AND DIAGNOSING. THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW. GRAHAM DID NOT NEED EXPLORATORY SURGERY TODAY AS THEY SPECIALISTS SUGGESTED.  OUR LOCAL VET DOES NOT BELIEVE A FOREIGN BODY IN STUCK IN HIS SMALL INTESTINE AND THAT HE IS TRULY SUFFERING FROM PANCREATITIS. HIS INTESTINES, SPLEEN AND TUMMY ARE VERY SWOLLEN AND IRRITATED. HE WANTS TO EAT AND HE'S IN GOOD SPIRITS BUT THE INFLAMMATION IN HIS BODY IS NOT ALLOWING HIM TO DIGEST WHICH IS WHY HE IS VOMITING.  HE IS NOW ON A NEW IV TREATMENT PROTOCOL FOR PANCREATITIS. HE WILL BE HOSPITALIZED FOR THREE TO FIVE DAYS WITH TREATMENT AND SINCE THE NEW TREATMENT STARTED LAST NIGHT HE HAS NOT VOMITED AND HAS EATEN TINY BITS.  WE STILL NEED FUNDS FOR HIS TREATMENT WHICH WILL RUN $700.00 - $85.00 HAS COME IN FOR HIS SURGERY WE THOUGHT WE NEEDED SO WE HAVE DEDUCTED THAT AMOUNT FROM HIS CURRENT TREATMENT ESTIMATE OF 785.00.  YOU CAN CALL YOUR DONATION IN TO ALPHA VET CARE AT 908-454-8384 FOR GRAHAM UNDER CROSSED PAWS RESCUE OR BY PAYPAL.  PLEASE KEEP SPREADING THE WORD FOR HIM AND HELP US TO REACH OUR GOAL.  THANK YOU.

6/13/18- UPDATE!! GRAHAM HAS HAD ANOTHER ULTRASOUND AND IT WAS FOUND THAT A POSSIBLE FOREIGN BODY IN STUCK IN HIS SMALL INTESTINE. UNFORTUNATELY HE VOMITED AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND HAS NOT EATEN TODAY WHICH SET OFF THE NEED FOR ANOTHER ULTRASOUND.  HE IS BEING TRANSFERRED TO MY VET (ALPHA VET CARE) TONIGHT AND THEY WILL BE PERFORMING THE SURGERY TOMORROW.  I HATE HAVING TO MOVE HIM BUT THE OTHER SURGEONS WANTED $2500.00 FOR THE SURGERY WHICH THE RESCUE CANNOT AFFORD.  HE WILL GET INCREDIBLE CARE AT MY VET AND THE COST IS EXTREMELY LESS THAN THE SPECIALISTS FEE WHERE HE IS AT CURRENTLY.  WE ARE IN NEED OF COVERING THE COST OF HIS SURGERY NOW WHICH IS $800.00.  DONATIONS CAN BE CALLED INTO ALPHA VET CARE AT 908-454-8384 FOR GRAHAM UNDER CROSSED PAWS RESCUE OR VIA PAYPAL.

ORIGINAL GOAL WAS MET! 6/12/18 STILL SHORT $350.00 GRAHAM'S EMERGENCY VETTING. PLEASE PLEASE KEEP SHARING.

Update: Graham's xrays show no foreign body in his belly but his spleen is a bit swollen which could be from his illness.  His fever has come down to normal. He has started eating a little on his own again and is bright and alert.  We are still waiting for a few more tests to come back as the vet is looking for possible parasites or bacteria that may be upsetting his belly.  We will know more tomorrow.  Graham will be staying another night to make sure he is completely stable before leaving. He is still on IV fluids and IV antibiotics and anti nausea meds. More updates to come as soon as we know.

6/11/18 $950.00 EMERGENCY FUNDS NEEDED FOR GRAHAM!! HE HAS BEEN HOSPITALIZED TONIGHT AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!

If you've been following Graham's story you know that he has literally been through hell. He was dumped at a feral colony, adopted and got out of his adopters home within 7 hours, was found 7 days later and came back into my rescue to recover. He FINALLY found a wonderful couple to adopt him. He went to his new home on Saturday June 9th.  He did well the first day but physically went down hill the next.  Thanks to his adopters, they brought Graham to the vet immediately.  He is in urgent care and will be staying at the vet clinic for treatment.  Because Graham has only been with his adopters for 48 hours it is still my responsibility to make sure Graham gets the medical care he needs and pay for whatever is necessary.  Graham is currently on IV fluids, receiving IV antibiotics, anti nausea meds, appetite stimulants and blood work was completed.  Right now Graham has found to be dehydrated, anemic and he's not eating.  He will have two abdominal xrays tomorrow to check for foreign bodies. This is not a life threatening situation but Graham deserves to get all the medical required for him to get better.  We have barely brought in the funds we need for food and supplies for our other rescues and now we are in dire need of help for Graham.  WE ARE DESPERATELY ASKING FOR HELP!!! PLEASE PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! GRAHAM NEEDS OUR HELP!
